UNSEALDAY POLICY
Privacy Policy
Intended effective date: official service launch
Information we collect
For registration and service operation, we process email addresses, one-way password hashes, nicknames, membership grades, and access, security, and moderation logs. Google sign-in or account linking also involves the unique account identifier and email address provided by Google. We do not store Google access or refresh tokens.
How we use information
Information is used for identity verification, sign-in, author attribution, grade-based permissions, security response, and customer support. Authorized access to sealed content and member moderation actions are audit-logged to help prevent misuse.
External sign-in provider
Google authentication is handled through Google Identity Services. UnsealDay verifies Google's credentials on the server before creating a service session. Existing member accounts are not automatically linked by matching email addresses alone.
Retention
When an account is deleted, its email address, nickname, Google connection, login information, and drafts are removed. Sealed records remain with the author anonymized. Information subject to statutory retention requirements is kept separately for the required period.
Your rights
In account settings, you can change your nickname and password, disconnect Google, or request account deletion. If the immutability policy for sealed records conflicts with personal-data deletion obligations, we anonymize personal information or restrict access as needed.
Language preferences and visitor country
The default display language is determined from the country associated with your IP address using a database on our server. This lookup does not send your IP to an external provider or store it separately. Your chosen language is saved in an essential preference cookie in this browser for up to one year. VPNs or location-data inaccuracies may affect the default; you can change it at any time in the language menu.
Advertising and cookies
Google AdSense has been prepared but ad requests remain disabled until the site review and required consent setup are checked. Once enabled, one manual ad may appear below a public record. Ads are not placed on sealed records, sign-in, account, writing or administration pages.
When ads are enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies and process IP addresses, browser and device information, visited pages and ad interactions for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention. Personalized ads may use visits to this and other sites. We do not pass email addresses, passwords or private sealed content as advertising parameters.
In regions requiring consent, Google's consent management message provides consent, refusal and preference controls. You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Personalized ad settings are available in Google My Ad Center. Blocking cookies may limit some service or advertising features.
For details, see Google's information use on partner sites and Google's Privacy Policy. Regional consent messages and preference-change flows will be checked again before ads are enabled.
This document requires legal review for Korean privacy and content-moderation requirements before the service's official launch.
